Digital Brix Refractometers: The Optimal Solution for Measuring Coolant Concentration
Accurate measurement of coolant concentration is paramount, and our Digital Brix refractometers deliver on that front. Our offerings include the Zebra-branded digital handheld unit and the renowned MISCO Palm Abbe model – two versatile solutions designed for precision and ease of use.
Digital refractometers are trusted by a wide range of industries, from food and beverage to pharmaceuticals, automotive, and more. They measure the concentration of dissolved solids in liquids, such as sugar, salt, or glycol – and are widely used in scientific research across various fields, including chemistry, biology, material science, and, most importantly, the metalworking industry.
With our Digital Brix Refractometers, you can confidently maintain your coolant’s concentration and performance, thanks to these features:
- Brix range: 0-50 Brix for our Zebra model, and 0-56 Brix for the MISCO model, which can be factory recalibrated.
- LCD display with backlight for easy reading under any lighting conditions.
- A bright, clear scale that simplifies measurement interpretation.
Take control of your coolant concentration with our digital refractometers – ensuring optimal performance has never been easier.

The MISCO Palm Abbe PA201 has a single Brix scale from 0 to 56 Brix. The Palm Abbe refractometer is fast, convenient, and easy to use. Simply place a drop or two of fluid in the stainless steel well and press a button. The custom-designed microprocessor delivers a nearly instantaneous readout in degrees Brix. Nonlinear temperature compensation is automatic and ensures that fluids read between 0 and 50 °C (+32 to 122 °F) are measured accurately.
The large backlit LCD display is easily read, even in dim light, and removes the subjectivity associated with interpreting where a boundary line crosses tiny scale divisions. And, it is so easy to use! The user interface consists of two buttons, one to take readings and the other to step through various menu options.
Calibration is automatic and does not require the use of special calibration solutions or tools. The Palm Abbe refractometer automatically calibrates itself to water and is ready to use in seconds. No more screws to turn and nothing to adjust.
